I was doing a little reading this morning, and it was 2 Timothy 3: 16-17. Verse 16 talks about ALL scripture being inspired by God. It also speaks of the uses of scripture. Verse 17 is the part I got wrapped up in. The last sentence even! The commentary in my Bible says of verse 17, “Equipped for every good work. Enabled to meet all the demands of godly ministry and righteous living. The Word not only accomplishes this in the life of the man of God(preachers of divine truth) but in all who follow him.” This morning was perfect timing on this or me. Over the course of this weekend, I was striving to figure out and pray through why at times I feel somewhat distant from my Savior. After reading this verse, it is apparent that my problem is my own fault…when I feel distant, I’m not actively studying the Word of God. How can I expect to feel close to Him when I am not investigating His character everyday?!?!?!
